The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), Middle East Exchange

Design direction and identity for report design, incorporating English and Arabic  languages

The Middle East Exchange is a platform for sharing new ideas, inspirations and innovations in the Middle East, aiming to stimulate and encourage frank, open and constructive debate around development issues in the region today. Working with leading newspapers across the Arab World, MEE presented a weekly digest of inspirations, solutions and novel approaches to regional issues and opportunities created by an international team of writers and contributors.

Middle East Exchange featured articles, commentaries and other content also available online. Middle East Exchange events include round tables and discussion forums, which aim to promote solutions to regional issues. In 2017, Middle East Exchange articles attracted 3.2 million readers per month.

The Middle East Exchange was jointly presented by the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Initiatives and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Twelve Column developed a unified and impactful creative direction for the report design, incorporating English and Arabic  languages to effectively convey the publisher's objectives. By strategically blending various linguistic elements, we ensured seamless communication and enhanced the overall message of the report including cover designs, interior layouts, typography, and overall aesthetics.

In summary, through close collaboration with authors and designers proficient in both English and Arabic, we fostered a dynamic partnership. By leveraging our collective expertise, we produced visually compelling designs that seamlessly integrated text and imagery. This collaborative approach not only ensured the effective representation of content but also brought forth a harmonious fusion of creativity and linguistic diversity.
